Spotlight on Dave Attell
The comedian and star of Comedy Central's Insomniac lends his supremely off-color brand of humor (and vocal cords) to the links of Outlaw Golf 2. Gamestar had a chance to catch up with the hard-drinking standup for a few soul-searching questions.
Gamestar: How did you get involved with Outlaw Golf 2?
Dave Attell: I answered a personal ad. Wait, that's how I got the Insomniac show--I guess I got it cause I am kind of a role model to kids. Bad kids.
GS: Do you prefer video-game golf or playing real life golf?
DA: I prefer video golf. You can play in the nude.
GS: Do you play video games? If so which are your favorites?
DA: Before I was a drunk, I used to play all the time. Ms. Pac-Man. Stop laughing at me...
GS: If you were able to create a brand new game, what type would it be and what would it involve?
DA: I don't know what kind of game I would create--something where I get to hunt the kids from The Real World.
GS: How long will you keep doing Insomniac?
DA: Right now I'm taking a break. We just got done shooting an hour-long special in Germany with the U.S. troops stationed there--very cool--should be out in the fall.
GS: If a company approached you to do a game version of the Insomniac show, what would you want to see in it?
DA: Well, I would like to see me hook up with some woman finally... and I'd like some hair.
